Who We Are

Awana is a global discipleship movement reaching kids, youth and families with the gospel of Jesus Christ. In Norway, Awana is run by a collaboration of churches and youth organizations, aiming to build long-lasting faith in the next generation.

Our vision:
That children and youth would know, love and serve Jesus for the rest of their lives.

We believe that every child is created by God, loved with an everlasting love, and never too young to hear about Him or from Him.

Our Mission in Europe

In collaboration with local churches, parents, and ministry partners, we equip leaders and support parents to disciple children at every stage of life.

Awana offers a holistic approach to faith formation – combining Bible teaching, small groups, and play-based relational engagement.

We are now expanding our vision into more countries in Europe. Our goal is to serve the local church and provide training and resources that build resilient disciples in every context.

Awana Digital – A Complete Platform for Leaders

Awana is developing a powerful digital platform to support discipleship and faith formation across Europe. This tool brings together all teaching content, illustrations, games, and planning resources in one simple app – accessible for every leader in your ministry.

With Awana Digital, leaders spend less time on administration and more time with the children. The platform allows you to plan an entire semester, access age-specific teaching content, and run Awana sessions efficiently and flexibly.

The app includes:

• Ready-to-use lesson plans and presentations built into the system

• Visual and interactive resources for all age groups

• Leader access for planning, communication, and tracking

• Support for multiple languages and cultural contexts

Why It Matters

Europe is seeing a long-term decline in participation in Christian children’s and youth ministries. Behind each statistic is a child not being reached with the gospel.

We believe this trend can be reversed – with tools that are intentional, relational, and grounded in God’s Word.
